Physical inactivity poses a serious and growing danger to our society. It damages our health, economy and environment, and limits the educational attainment and futures of our children

A quarter of all adults in England fail to do enough physical activity to benefit their health, whilst 12.5 million people do not raise their heart level for more than half an hour per week

17% of premature deaths in the UK every year are caused by inactivity, costing £7.4 billion annually. Levels of inactivity are placing an unsustainable burden on already strained resources

In Suffolk, a unique partnership of local authorities, public sector bodies, the voluntary sector and private companies has been established to begin to turn the tide of inactivity.

This partnership is branded Most Active County.
